A police officer shot dead a man suspected of shooting his way into a 7-Eleven convenience store early Thursday morning in Irving, police say.

The store was closed for business when a 69-year-old man opened fire on the front windows of the building at about 1:15 a.m., police spokesman Robert Reeves said.

A clerk inside the store at the time hid behind the counter and called police to report the shooting, Reeves said. A police officer confronted the man as he was leaving the building and opened fire, striking him.

Officer Kills Suspected Robber at Irving 7-Eleven: PD Police in Irving are investigating a deadly shooting involving an officer Thursday morning, the department says.

The officer's name was not released. Reeves said the officer has worked in the department for three years.

Police are asking people to avoid the area as officers investigate the shooting.

Somehow this will be portrayed as a racist Covid-19 death.

Depends on whether toilet paper was found next to the body.

I’m not complaining, merely pointing out the absurdity of the “new press”. Just a question, not a condemnation. Why post articles without at least 2 or 3 of the prerequisites?

Who, what, why, when, and where?

None of that matters.

It's obviously Trumps fault.

I could understand trying to shoot my way out of a 7-11 but certain not shoot my way in.

I Googled it. Apparently they quit making Ripple a while back. It would be a fine drink for this Dempanic lockdown, though!

My bad. I meant Pandemic, of course.

Fox this am had a story that liquor consumption is up 75%. No indication if it was at the retail or distributor level. I suspect retail is up due to bars being closed.
