Sermo Reports on Hydroxychloroquine Efficacy, Rise in Prophylaxis Use; Over 80% Expect 2nd Outbreak
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Widespread confusion, conflicting reports, inconsistent testing, and off-indication use of existing and experimental drugs has resulted in no single source of information from the frontlines. To create a centralized and dynamic knowledge base, Sermo, the largest global healthcare polling company and social platform for physicians, leveraged its capabilities to publish results of a COVID-19 study with more than 6,200 physicians in 30 countries. The study was completed in three days. Data covers current treatment and prophylaxis options, timing to the outbreak peak, ethical choices, effectiveness of government responses, and much more. Multiple study waves including a deeper dive into treatments will be conducted over the next several weeks. To view results and countries visit sermo.com.

This is a treasure trove of global insights for policy makers. Physicians should have more of a voice in how we deal with this pandemic and be able to quickly share information with one another and the world, said Peter Kirk, CEO, Sermo. With censorship of the media and the medical community in some countries, along with biased and poorly designed studies, solutions to the pandemic are being delayed. We invite global physicians to contribute to help inform policy makers, their colleagues, and the public.
*Results provide physician observations but are not a substitute for official medical guidelines.
Methodology
Results are reported for individual countries with a minimum sample size of 250. Such a sample size provides for point estimates with a +/- 6% precision at a 94% confidence level. Thirty countries included in the study are the United States, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, Turkey, Poland, Russia, Finland, Ireland, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Norway, Greece, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Australia, China, India, and Hong Kong. No incentive was offered to respondents. Full methodology.

As if you need further proof that the ChiComs are lying about everything.
The second global outbreak is anticipated by 83% of global physicians, 90% of U.S. physicians but only 50% of Chinese physicians
Hey great we’ll hide like little girls again for 2 months! :)
The economy shouldn’t be affected at all.
Even Fauci is saying we’ll be prepared to ride-out a second wave in much better shape. The CDC totally got caught with their pants down on this. By rights heads should roll.
SARS was also expected to have a second wave which never came.
Move to China then.
It speaks of treatments but not results.
You had better understand, the economy cannot take a protracted, voluntary shutdown! You think Coronavirus is deadly, wait until our economy collapses from Americans not being able to work! This will happen faster than you can imagine.
Self reporting polling. Not necessarily the most reliable.
EG nite that China claims to treat the sickest and patients first with ventilators. We know that aint true
For me, the highlight of this study is that the US is last on the list in prescribing Hydrocloriquin and Z-Pac. The other issue related to this is the only in the US is this treatment being prescribed only for people who are critically ill. This actually infuriates me, especially as a person who goes out into the field in my hospice chaplain ministry every day, exposing myself to sick (not covid-19+) people.
I understand that.
What do you want me to do about it? This is WWIII, Artcore, and it’s going to be bad.
110% of ill Chinese recover within 24 hours after taking wild bear gall bladder extract. (sarc.)
The economy shouldnt be affected at all.
Move to China then asshat.
No information about efficacy of treatments, which is disappointing.
I look at this entire situation as a teeter totter.
It was loaded up on one side, as it should be, to prep Americans for the unprecedented steps that would be necessary. But then, it got out of control. Dr. Fauci Doochie Do/Dr. Stephen King/Dr. Bureaucrat/Dr. Egghead Arsehat, went into high gear with his ever changing forecasts. He got addicted to pimping fear as a means to gain compliance. He came armed with ONE and only ONE solution. LOCKDOWN, LOCKDOWN AND MORE LOCKDOWN!!!
Dare mention the economy or the longer, more serious effects of a perpetual lockdown and Dr. Fauci Doochie Do goes on CNN and peddles his fear. He has his bubble, namely, THIS VIRUS. But what about the larger bubble of the longterm health of the American People? Not so much.
Welp, the fear darts are all fired and now a BIGGER, more monstrous kid is sitting down on the other end of that teeter totter. That is the FEAR of personal economic collapse. First it starts with the pay check to pay check workers. Then, it is spreading to people who have savings but realize that it will run out in two, three, four or even five months. Next it will hit the fat cats who will still make money but see limitations.
Once that kid sits on the teeter totter it will cause the other end to rise slowly at first but then accelerate until it turns the virus side into a projectile form a catapult.
Fauci Do was the wrong guy for this. We need and needed someone who can start to, at least, talk about treatments with something other than a roll of the eyes and a bureaucratic “five months of testing” response. We need someone who will start talking about a plan to exit us from this and not LOCKDOWN LOCKDOWN and MORE LOCKDOWN.
Security detail?!?! This guy is going to need an entire armored division if he keeps this up.
Some interesting stats Rush referenced yesterday from worldometer.info concerning worldwide deaths from random maladies:
“This is January 1st through March 25th. So basically three months.
Coronavirus, [49,160] deaths.
Seasonal flu, 113,000.
Malaria, 228,000.
Suicide, 249,000.
Traffic fatalities, 313, almost 314,000 deaths.
HIV/AIDS, 391,000 deaths.
Alcohol related deaths, 581,000.
Smoking-related deaths, 1,162,000.
Cancer deaths, 1,909,000 deaths.
Deaths attributed to starvation, 2,382,000 deaths.
And death by abortion, 9,900,000...”
Not minimizing COVID-19, but it is interesting to see what we’re choosing to destroy our economy over.
The peak is probably over in some states. The US as a whole is seeing a drop in daily % of new cases. The problem is the idiot governors who don’t selectively shut down areas. The New River Valley area in Va has 2 cases in the whole area. Face it, people aren’t going to flock here to watch homeless methheads in Pulaski or eat at the gas station in Bland.
And let me add one more thing. The media’s goal is to keep us locked down permanently. Well, at least until they can push a vote all by mail scheme on us or more of Nancy Pelosi’s agenda. Once Trump is out of office, the day a democrat wins the election, you won’t be able to measure how damn fast the media abandons Dr. Fauci Doochie Do, actually makes him a villain, and pivots toward ending the lockdown.
The media’s agenda is naked.
I saw those numbers, they don’t mean anything to me.
Wuhan Red Death is in addition to all of those, and its ultimate effect remains unknown.
I could die of Diabetes or heart attack anytime, and it’s been that way for 10 years. Every day of those 10 years, I knew in my mind that any day could be my last day.
Did I walk around scared of that? Maybe a little. Couple times.
Am I scared of dying of Wuhan Red Death and/ or infecting someone else with it? Yes, I am. Terrified!
Now, I expect you’ll think I’m crazy, and that’s fine, maybe I am, but I am just trying to tell you why knowing that I can die from all sorts of things does not alleviate my fear of dying from this thing. This thing is different from those things.
