Biden ‘confident’ he’s the Democratic nominee, despite Sanders claiming he still has 'path'

Sen. Bernie Sanders argues that there’s still “a narrow path” for him to win the Democratic presidential nomination – but front-runner Joe Biden disagrees, saying he feels “confident” he will be the party’s nominee.

Starting with his landslide victory in South Carolina one month ago, Biden has crushed populist senator from Vermont and built up a large lead in the crucial race for convention delegates, making him the all-but-certain Democratic nominee.

Biden also enjoys a massive wave of support from former 2020 rivals and leading Democratic members of Congress, governors, unions and other groups, as much of the party consolidated behind the former vice president’s White House bid.

Sanders is right, if Biden keels over before the convention, all bets are off. His delegates could vote for any candidate on the first ballot.

Joe is getting ready for his nomination at the virtual Democrat Convention. He’s been busy blowing up balloons in his basement for his nomination victory.

Problem is, Hunter is going crazy because his dad’s balloons are all individually wrapped and stamped “Trojan.”

They’re both deluded (diluted?). Don Coomo is going to be the nominee.

Biden doesn’t have a majority of delegates. I am not even sure that he can, if primaries are delayed.

So, July is all going o be a DNC back room show.

But will it be a “virtual” back room?

How will the media cover a “virtual” convention?

Traditionally, candidates get a “convention bounce” in polls, as the party puts on its show for four nights. Will the networks have anything to broadcast in those time slots, if there isn’t an actual convention, with actual speeches and actual party business being conducted?

Neither doddering Joe nor crazy Bernie will get the nomination. Democrat insiders will cut a back room deal and my bet is Cuomo will be their pick. This will infuriate the Bernie Bros and not sit well with the also rans unless
Iike Amy Klobuchar will easily be bought off with the promise of some hand out job. The party will be divided and I would not be surprised if Bernie tries a last minute third party run. Old Joe and Hillary might both be in some sanatorium believing they actually were president.

I've got it all figured out at last, and it's not good for Biden or Sanders.

Or the Democrats.

There won't be any more Dem primaries. The excuse is coronavirus. As a consequence, NO ONE has enough votes to claim the nomination on the first ballot. All delegates are released to vote their own "conscience", which is the Dem term for "smoky back room". THEY pick the nominee, and it's not an old white male.

Biden and Sanders supporters finally have something to agree on, which is "we got scr***d". They stay home or vote Trump on election day, and Trump wins 48 states...
