As a child, I remember all of us drinking the polio vaccine. We all went somewhere to drink out of little White,!paper cups.

We got ours on a sugar cube.

I remember lining up in the hall. A friend of my brother had polio. I remember the braces on her legs.

Ours came by way of an injection. A neighbor boy had polio. When we got to docs office and it became apparent they were going to inject it in my arm I went ballistic. Had to be held down to do it even after a ton of threats of death when I got home.
