😂😂😂. NevaDUH mandates 50% renewable by 2030 or else. Or else what we don't know but pretty sure it'll be expensive. 💸💸💸💸

I wonder how many trees they had to cut to install those solar panels. Asking for a friend.

Those endless miles of electric generating wind turbines are hideous. Talk about eye pollution.

Two simple rules of thumb:

1. All things considered, solar power produces ~10 watts per square meter on average.

2. When the buffer battery is empty, power stops.

To wit:

1. The Sun provides 1300W/m^2. Accommodating for night, weather, air transmission, impingement angle, panel efficiency, snow, and everything else: solar conversion is about 1%.

2. Building out excess capacity is vital for consistency. Several standard deviations must be covered to accommodate increasingly rare yet statistically likely cases (heavy cloud cover for 3 weeks may be rare, but near 100% likely for lifespan of installation). Every additional day of storage capacity and corresponding power collection costs just as much as that needed for daily cycle buffering - and on a large scale, that costs a LOT.

I really like solar power. I like the grid independence, the cleanliness, the technology. I actually use it a lot, running the house on about 1/3 utility solar, and during summer often working outside on a portable solar panel. From all that, it’s clear: solar is great for augmenting power needs, but absolutely not a replacement for primary sourcing.

Or they could use the source that produces no emissions at all, nuclear. But that makes Luddite envirowacko heads explode.

Co2 in not a pollute-ive emission. And that is what “emission” means in these sorts of “news” stories.

And the earth is in no danger from man made made Co2.

Dear Lord, this BS is so relentless. Which is the purpose. That we finally give up and let them screw us just to shut them up. But, they will never shut up and they will never be satisfied. So, stand fast. Or be a slave.
