Sports radio giant Mike Francesa blasted President Trump on Monday, criticizing his administration's handling of the coronavirus outbreak and lack of medical equipment in the nation, according to Politico.
The radio host, who came out as a Trump advocate during his 2016 presidential campaign, accused him of not providing enough personal protective equipment, or PPE, to New York City, the epicenter of the U.S. outbreak.
"We're watching one thing happen in our city on the 11 o'clock news every night. We're watching people die, and now we know people who died. And we're not seeing one or two people die now in our neighborhood. We're seeing them die by the tens and twenties by the day," Francesa said.
Francesa referenced MyPillow founder Mike Lindell's appearance during the Monday Rose Garden news briefing, where he gave a speech telling Americans to focus on religion and encouraging people to "get back in the word, read our Bibles and spend time with our families."
Lindell previously pledged to manufacture masks and hospital gowns to donate to hospitals and medical facilities.
"So don't give me the MyPillow guy doing a song-and-dance up here on a Monday afternoon when people are dying in Queens," Francesa added. "Get the stuff made, get the stuff where it needs to go and get the boots on the ground! Treat this like the crisis it is!"

I don’t think you are 74...I think you are a troll...
don’t worry I can do both. BTW it’s 73.
You are not long for here....I’d guess
well you’ve been wrong do fear. Actually I’m not very long anywhere. You’ll miss me.
wrong SO FAR
Won’t.
Cuomo closed 17 hospitals in NY, take it up with him....
Funny the media doesn’t mention that.
Francesa is a very knowledgeble (admittedly opinionated) sports talk host and a good interviewer. Used to enjoy listening to him on the ride home from work (he went off for a while, then came back, but I haven’t driven to work lately!)
Remember he hangs with the ESPN crowd, who have ruined so much of their own cred.
Why alienate a large part of your audience?
well they spent billions on illegal immigrants, faux art projects, make work jobs for the relatives of the bureaucrats....
Maybe then they’d have money to fund the hospitals...
Democrats are like flies... whatever they don’t eat ....they sh#t on.
Good go...before you get booted.
Who???
It's mainly a coronavirus thread with a "famous" jerk appended.
I have never heard of the guy, either. I uses to like watching pro sports and bought two season tickets for a pro football team in high school in 1962 through 1965 with my own money. The Jim Brown, Johnny Unitas, Mike Ditka, Sonny Jurgensen, Jim Taylor, etc. era. You remember them.
Some time after, after my kids grew up, I just quit it. I quit the pros. Haven't intentionally seen a pro football, basketball, baseball on TV. Or listened on the radio. Or went to a game.
All I see is high school kids play.
Anyway, I hear of people talking sports and they never mention radio or TV sportcasters or "analyists". I've seen a few of them TV in friends houses our restaurants and they drive me crazy.
Anyway, I wonder why you called me "darling." Did I offend you by asking a question? I won't call you a name.
I'm sure we meet again on FR.
Stay well.
Yes.
Thanx
I was in WV We were in the Browns TV area circa 1950s We got the browns every sunday At half time, we left to catch the bus to go to boarding school. Never saw the second half. No sports page or radio at school.
Was browns fan till Brown retired Living in LA I stupidly picked up the rams.
I just finished my third season or is it fourth not watching, after watching since about 1954. Don’t miss it at all. Best wishes.
Some guy on another thread doesn’t believe I’m 73 but I can name brown players and the NY Giants middle linebacker who came fromWV (Sam Huff) all in the 50s. And i know what a DeSoto is. LOL.
But why did you call me 'darlin'?
I was mad at the other guy and sarcastic. Sorry
My father told me to become place kicker. Lou Groza was his favorite player. He said if you kick, no one will pile on you. Kickers live longer he said.
LOL, no but I do enjoy reading him as I get the Post delivered...
Yep you're correct, Imus would have him on his morning show to do the sports and it would become a pretty good bit. Sometimes Mike and the Mad Dog (Chris Russo) would be on and he'd introduce them as Fatso and Fruit Loops and those sessions would be pretty good too.
I lied warner better but I guess he was the oldest guy on the show. Warner was good reporter but not an opinion guy.
