Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz released scathing findings Tuesday on his agencys review of numerous FBI applications for warrants in the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court saying we do not have confidence that the FBI has executed its Woods Procedures.
The months long review was initiated last year after it was discovered that the bureau agents involved in the now debunked investigation into President Donald Trumps campaign and whether it colluded with Russia, had altered documentation and withheld vital information from the court on then campaign advisor Carter Page. The warrant obtained by the FBI was used to spy on Pages communications and was renewed three times from the time it was obtained in the Fall of 2016.
Horowitz noted in the March, 2020 report that his agents reviewed the FBI applications, and met with available case agents or supervisors who were responsible for them, to assess whether the FBI complied with its Woods Procedures for FISA applications submitted to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC). The Woods Procedures were put into effect by the FBI in April, 2001. They were meant to ensure that all the information presented to the FISA Court when applying for a warrant to spy on a United States citizen was fully vetted and verified by the Bureau.
Further, Horowitz stated in the report that his investigator obtained and reviewed information from the FBI and the Department of Justices (Department or DOJ) National Security Division (NSD) about their FISA application oversight mechanisms. Specifically, in addition to interviewing FBI and NSD officials, we reviewed 34 FBI and NSD accuracy review reports covering the period from October 2014 to September 2019which originated from the 8 field offices we have visited to date and addressed a total of 42 U.S. Person FISA applications, only one of which...

To quote Bruce Willis...
Welcome to the party Pal..
if he is just now figuring this out nothing will ever come of this.
Wray will be all ocer this. An interoffice memo asking people to please follow rules will be issued. Problem solved, we can all move on now.
And I doubt that anything ever will happen regarding criminal charges.
The whole doj and fbi are corrupt and many {if not most} are criminals.
The few that are not complicit, are knowledgeable and too lazy/fearful or protective of their pensions to speak out.
Criminal, complicit or cowards, take your pick, but there are no heroes in that group of swamp dwellers.
SAD!!!
You nailed it. No one will be prosecuted, no one will go to jail and America will suffer as a result.
Always get paid.
Can’t fire.
Can’t evaluate their work’
Always get salary increases.
Then what is the point of his position.
Serious question...
So many insipid bums covering for criminal bums. This is getting very tiresome.
They already have procedures, regulations and laws on the books which mean nothing. Adding more and not enforcing the old laws is akin to closing a screen door on a submarine, it’s just more insanity.
The DOJ/FBI are not going to do anything to these traitors and in my book establishes themselves as government entities that can never be trusted again, like the IRS and ATF, walking, talking, criminal clusterf*&^s agencies. The Get Out of Jail card will continue to be played. The DOJ/FBI considers equal justice under the law to be good for PR but otherwise is not to ever be the policy practiced at any government agency.
Translation:
They are ALL Liars
They Defrauded the FISA Court
They Are ALL CRIMINALS and Belong in PRISON for LIFE!
nothing to see, move along.
I believe they are on recess, both House and Senate.
Ditto
If anybody is still expecting any prosecutions out of these Clown College graduates, they are in for a long wait. Best Americans can do is carefully save the relevant releases as PDFs for future use - so the MSM can’t hide the crimes.
Inspector General Michael Horowitz just said this to cover his @ss. Remember there are other investigations going on still, even in this pandemic environment. What better time to do this when all eyes and ears are on something more pressing?
Horowitz report in December 2019 resulted in exactly what?
