This mask disinformation is just a sample of what you can expect if the government takes over the healthcare sector. Actually they are already doing it because the government is already in control of most the healthcare sector. What I’m referring to is that when the government can’t do what it has promised, ie it can’t provide the service it has promised, suddenly they are telling you that you don’t really need the service or worse that it would be bad for you. The advice is not based on science but rather on their own inability to do their job and their desire to cover that up.
I read an interview by China’s top virologist and he stated that the number one thing the western nations are doing wrong is that they are not wearing masks, which in China is considered to be the most effective way to stop the virus. I also saw a video by a top NYC pulmonologist who is in the thick of the battle against COVID 19 and he said that you should wear a mask if you have one and if you don’t have an N95 mask then just make your own mask. He stated that the reason is that the purpose of the mask is not so much to stop you from inhaling the ambient virus as it is to prevent you from touching your face. In other words he’s saying the exact opposite of what this guy is saying.

YES... this! Remember recently when they wanted to stop PSA tests, mammograms? The “problem” was that people discovered things early and wanted treatment. So they floated that it wasn’t helpful and the testing for both should be much more rare.
Touching your face? I thought the virus was spread by inhalation?
Reminds me of the story (possibly untrue) about the early soldiers receiving M16s in Vietnam being told it was “self-cleaning” because the Army shipped them without cleaning kits. Or the Japanese government telling soldiers after Hiroshima that sheets could protect them from the effects of an atomic bomb.

Excellent point. What they do in countries like the UK if you’re no longer a ‘productive’ member of society, and say you need a valve: They’ll instead say that there’s “nothing we can do”, when, if you were 10 years younger, you would get it. They’ll never tell you the truth, for obvious reasons.
In the US, for now, you will almost always get the valve, assuming otherwise healthy for the operation - and that’s a big reason we spend so much more on health care than those countries.
I wear gloves now if in a store or touching anything and this also reminds your hands not to touch your face. I try not to breath too much lol.
