There are a lot of parallels between the presidents behavior now and during the whole Ukraine scandal, Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., who led Trumps impeachment prosecution, told me. Certainly the most apparent is his demand that the governors basically pay fealty to him, praise him, or theyll suffer consequences.
I dont think anyone was that surprised when he was as vindictive as he was after the trial in firing people and having them marched out of the White House, and I dont think anybody can be all that surprised now, Schiff said of Trump. Dismayed, horrified, appalled, yes. Their worst fears realized once again, yes. Surprised, probably not.
For the many New Yorkers who loathe this president, its hard to imagine a more profound insult. Due in part to Trumps failures, the United States has the worlds worst coronavirus outbreak, and New York state is its biggest hot spot, with more than 1,200 deaths as of Monday afternoon. There are ventilator shortages and makeshift morgues.
A little more than three years ago, Democrats gathered in Javits Center in Manhattan thinking they were going to celebrate Hillary Clintons election. Now its a temporary hospital. And to secure lifesaving assistance, our leaders have to grovel to the man who has helped create our tragedy.

Vindictive for removing traitors from his personal staff in the WH? Anyone remember Seth Rich?
Even with the coronavirus going on they have to put Shifty Schiff back in the news.
It’s only a quid pro quo problem when Trump does it, correct Michelle GoldbergIdiot? I mean gee, politics is largely a quid pro quo affair is it not? It’s utilized all the time, is it not?
Do they understand what “corruption” is?
Do they understand “politics”?
Do they understand “horse trading”?
Do they understand “respecting the office”?
He is governing. He is leading the nation. This is what it looks like. Obama never did it, so I guess they don’t recognize it.
I would suggest that they put the team back together and have another go at impeachment. Who knows, maybe second times the charm.
Go for it!
“Absolute filth from the NYT.”
General William Tecumseh Sherman had some interesting ideas about dealing with “newsmen.”
Huh? This is how government is supposed to work.
Anyway, Nancy P practices extortion on a weekly basis, but the Leftist media says nothing about that.
New York Times is a parody of itself.
Mention extortion one more time, and she'll have your legs broken.
POTUS needs to force lefty rags to switch to toilet paper production immediately.
Unbelievable. These people never hit bottom, never see that their behavior is beneath common decency during a crisis. They never quit trying to kill Orange Man, their nemesis. Schiff-head will probably start another impeachment, during the pandemic!
At what point did “cheesing off the President” get added to Cuomo’s job description?
The President has an obligation to the entire country to use our resources in the best way possible. If a specific governor demonstrates poor judgement in the area of cooperation with the President his access to resources should be limited so was to deploy them among governors who will use them effectively.
Our current lack of prepared situation is much more on governors, including the sainted Cuomo, then on any president.
If we are truly at war with CoVid-19 then we are going to have to start dealing with those who commit blatant treason. Fortunately we already know what the penalty is.
Switch???
Yep.
I don’t have time for Adam Schiff, and I am not going to make time for Adam Schiff.
The left never stops do they. Even during a national crisis these pigs are still trying to score political points.
All the news that’s fit to S...!
I’ve reached my limit of “politicks” for the month aleady.
