-- Was there any mention of Trump pills (HCQ/Z)? --

Yes. By both Trump and Fauci, but both in passing.

Fauci separately volunterred that in the next wave, 6 months from now, a vaccine might be available even though testing had not been completed. He note that success at "efficacy" might lead the medical community to recommend vaccines before the usual course of testing is completed (12-18 month minimum).

He told one guy, “I don’t know who you are.” And then basically said, “You’re an investigative reporter. Go investigate.”

I can see why the MSM venues aren’t covering these any more. He looks better every day.

“I searched, but didn’t find this posted.”

I did the same, so jumped on the Trump Family Train thread for a littler while. I prefer the dedicated threads.

The Chanel Rion girl from OAN asked about the difference between the numbers of people in the USA dying from WuFlu and mothers killing their babies through abortion. Gulp!

Also gave a presumptive compliment, I suspect you are a good investigator. The issue was what happened to the excess masks ordered byu a certain NYC hospital. This hospital usually gets no more than 20,000 masks per order. It recently received 300,000 in one order.

Are they being held at that hospital in reserve? Were they sold? Stolen?

Trump also jumped on PBS’ Yamiche Alcindor for asking a question about the relatively low number of per capita testing by the USA relative to some allegedly better faring countries such as Singapore and South Korea. In Alcindor’s defense I personally thought that she was being much more respectful and deferential than yesterday, and the question could have been interpreted as either a straightforward misunderstanding of the difference between total number of tests administered and total number of tests administered per capita, or an softball question intended to give trump an opportunity to draw the distinction for members of the public who were still confused about the difference. Instead, trump unloaded on Alcindor for her “snarky” question and attitude and made an example of her, and then abruptly ended the conference.

The other side of the coin is that Trump has been on the receiving end of Alcindor’s reporting and questions for years, including an unending constant barrage of snarkiness. Therefore my sympathy for Alcindor (and Acosta, and others like them) goes only so far (not very far at all)...

The scum at CBS channel 6 in Orlando, Fl. cut away to their local crap after a few minutes into the briefing.

It appears that the Communist Broadcasting System doesn’t want their viewers to get important information from our President.

I will file a complaint with the FCC.

South Korea has a population of 51 million. The US is six times larger. ROK tested 400k. The US has tested 1 million. When the US reaches 2.4 million, it will equal ROK in per capita testing and then zoom past the ROK.

President Trump may have erred in stating the population, but he was making the point that the high population density of Seoul, which is twice that of NYC and eight times Rome’s, makes it easier to conduct testing. And for that matter impose controls.

Give the guy a break. He is working his tail off.

Ya, Mike really hijacked the briefing and gave a mini-sermon on keeping the importance of G*d in mind during these perilous times. Trump had to follow up by stating that he did not know Mike was going to do that, but (IIRC) that he (Trump) agreed with him (Mike).

... On a separate note, I have been wondering if these folks ever get together and pray before conducting these daily briefings. I do not know but I do not think it would be out of character for Trump to encourage it.

Like South Korea is doing a better job than Trump because they are “ testing more people per capita”

That snarky question came after an eye watering briefing about how private US industry is ramping up in partnership with govt to defeat a historic PANDEMIC. Frankly I felt real emotion and pride in those executives, and OUR President

I almost feel sorry for that soulless cynical self-serving SNARKY reporter who cannot feel even a shred of gratitude for what other people are doing, and feels no pride in America

“this hospital usually gets no more than 20,000 masks per order. It recently received 300,000 in one order.

“Are they being held at that hospital in reserve? Were they sold? Stolen?”

Right. And a star businessman would ask this question. A president from the swamp wouldn’t even notice the problem. It’s an excellent question, and the answer would be interesting to hear.

IIRC Trump stated that the population of Seoul was 37 million and far larger than New York City (and that he knew Seoul very well since he has been there many times). That does not quite seem to be true according to a web search, which claims 9.7M versus 8.6M.

But, whatever...

Trump can occasionally be wrong on specifics but still correct in overarching principle.

“It appears that the Communist Broadcasting System doesn’t want their viewers to get important information from our President.”

That’s OK. If the viewers care, they know where to go to see the briefings. And that will bump up ratings for OAN and Fox.

I think that POTUS starts his day in a prayer meeting. I don’t know about the briefings, though. In any case, we are praying ... right?

I imagine Trump is really sticking it in the face of the MSM by having Mike along with the others. In fact, I had actually been wondering if and when he was going to do it, so it was not a total surprise to me. Mike runs lots of ads on FoxNews which is probably how most of us know him, including me. I have to admit that I really enjoy it when Trump gets in the MSM’s faces. (And congrats to Mike for another job well done.)

Agree... I like him.

He thinks like an executive and is solutions and action oriented.

He misspoke. No doubt he was thinking how much of the ROK is within artillery range of North Korea, including Seoul and the metro area. I give Trump a pass on such details unlike the a$$hole reporters who twist and distort everything he says. That particular question was just another example of the hatred and bias of the MSM.

“Mike runs lots of ads on FoxNews which is probably how most of us know him,”

Also, Mike has played a big part in some of Trump’s rallies, and (IIRC) is head of the Trump campaign in Minnesota. If you haven’t seen his interview on “Life, Liberty, and Levin”, it’s very good.
