Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan issued a “stay at home” order for Maryland residents on Monday — further curtailing daily life in the Free State in hopes of slowing the spread of the new coronavirus.
“Every Marylander can be a hero, just by staying home,” Hogan, a Republican, said in a news conference outside the State House in Annapolis Monday morning.
Here’s what the order, which will be in effect starting 8 p.m. on Monday, means for state residents.
You can only go out for “essential activities."

Walking, running or bike riding outside are exempt.
What does that mean?
It means you are a subject and not a citizen?
Everything I care about is exempt. Badly worded. Now Chicago’s stay-at-home is real.
So like nothing has changed much since last week...
Unclear legally what this bans.
Hard to tell what changed here in Maryland.
Nothing about closing the parks, many parks here are hard to close anyway. Many here walking at parks past weekend regardless of the crappy weather

Fortunately, my apartment complex has a sidewalk running around the complete inner circumference, which many residents use to get exercise. I’m gonna get out there later today.

It means the governor likes what he sees in other states that are staggering, tanked. In my opinion.
All for protection of the high risk. This overkill will take out far more people than covid imo

This new thing means you have to be out doing something necessary, like getting groceries, gas, hardware, vitamins or building supplies.
In other words, we have no effing idea what it means, either.

Basically, Hogan just dropped the flag on another Apocahorde 2020 and everyone will be out in force to beat the 8pm deadline.
I have been staying here and just by bad timing, needed to go get some stuff for us today.
Not sure what to do now, as the mobs will be even more insane and supplies scarcer.
Maybe I’ll head west in WV instead.
They have no cases over in that area, yet.
