no “approval” was ever actually needed for individual doctors to prescribe this drug for any medical purpose ... ALL FDA-approved drugs can be prescribed for any medical purpose without further approval by anyone, and it’s done all the time: it’s called off-label use, and a YUGE percentage of ALL prescriptions are for off-label use ...
