EXACTLY - 3 times it appeared that deaths were starting to decline...then SPIKE! New Orleans isn’t/didn’t do a anything close to the steps Italy took - they don’t have a prayer.
The only stat that we can confirm is the death rate. It happens whether you get tested or not.

Maybe they are being more careful about when they consider a death to be caused by the virus.
