NEW ORLEANS The Louisiana death toll from the coronavirus pandemic rose Sunday but the rate of infection appeared to have slowed dramatically, according to figures released by the Louisiana Department of Health.
The state had a total of 3,540 confirmed cases as of noon CDT Sunday, compared to 3,315 on March 28.
That increase of 225 cases, or less than 7%, marks a dramatic flattening of the curve Louisiana had experienced last week, when the percentage rise was as high as 28% on some days.

Keep hope alive, psycho.
The only stat that we can confirm is the death rate. It happens whether you get tested or not.
But regarding that state, there is this:

Maybe they are being more careful about when they consider a death to be caused by the virus.
We need to stop obsessing over the curve. The curve of cases is less important than (1) what happens to people after they get on the curve (easy recovery, hospitalization, death, etc.) and (2) their age and prior medical history.
“The nations (USA) rate of increase has decreased for four days in
a row. Im watching closely to see what happens today.”
Where are you getting data from?
I do not see it on Worldometers...
The nations (USA) rate of increase has decreased for four days in
a row.
I noticed that also on the worldodometer data.
One thing we can count on, Kit Cat, if a Democrat wins the White House in November, we’ll never hear the word Coronavirus ever again.
Compared to this years very deadly regular flu, which has claimed 50,000-62,000 lives so far accrdigtotheCDC,the coronavirus will prove to be a mediocre epidemic that was driven to ridiculous hysteria by a politically-motivated media.
The real damage was done to the economy in a last-ditch attempt to defeat President Trump. What happened in the past month was an attack on our country. Hopefully, those responsible will be charged and convicted.
Ok rate of increase, but it is still going up. I will wait until it levels out then the number of new cases drop before getting excited.
In 3, 2, 1...Dr. Facuci to CNN it is not flattening, it is not flattening...
But this can be an artifact of how many tests were given.
What was done to this country has been unforgivable YET people will just forget just like they forgot 9/11!! The people on this site that have jumped right on the doom and gloom bandwagon better start praying that Trump wins in November because he is the only person on the planet that can fix this devastation!! My heart is beyond broken realizing this was even possible, the absolute hysteria, fear, BS, the American people just bent over and let this happen lives destroyed BECAUSE orange man bad!!
Sure! as people leave the state and flood over the line into Florida.
You write some great posts. I understand everything you’re saying and agree with it. Forget 9/11, they don’t even remember 2008-09 when so many Americans lost their homes!
But the results may be catching up with the testing.
Italy has been flat for four days and had a significant drop in new today
Italy thought the curve was flattening a few days ago.
