U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams on Friday labeled Detroit as a “hot spot” for the coronavirus pandemic and said the situation there will worsen in the next week.
For those on the front lines of the crisis, reaching this point has been an unfortunate expectation.
“I have been saying all along as an epidemiologist that we are going to see a big tsunami,” said Dr. Teena Chopra, an infectious diseases specialist for Detroit Medical Center. “This is going to explode. We are seeing the surge. The growth rate is 100 percent. We are doubling every day...”

Weren’t they washing their hands, “social distancing” and “sheltering in place”? If the were, this advice doesn’t seem to have worked ... at least from what’s happening in Detroit..

Just look at the signage in the Detroit Metro Airport, it’s in Chinese and English. The traffic is mainly due to the connections in the auto industry and supporting businesses in the US and China.

That is almost as good as getting reports about the worse pandemic in recent American history, from ONLY one doctor, or ONLY one nurse, at each hospital. Every single time.
IF it interests you then go look and see if it is true.

Sometimes on a story i post something I see on twitter as to what people are saying. A NORMAL person understands it may not be true or it may be true...and if interested go look. it alerts you to info on the story
And as it turns out..if you spend a few minutes searching..you can find that what was on twitter is true

IOW, glad I'm not in Detroit. I've heard there have been TEN cases in Grand Rapids. Ten. This sounds like partisan media shilling / drama queenery / riot incitement / demagogic party talking points.

“Detroit” itself shrunk, but its suburbs are very large. Metropolitan airport (20 minutes sw of Detroit) is big and (was) a busy major hub.
