President Trump on Saturday night said the administration would not be issuing a quarantine on New York, parts of New Jersey and some of Connecticut as part of the efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
"A quarantine will not be necessary," he tweeted, noting that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) would issue a "travel advisory" later in the evening.

He challenged Cuomo and Cuomo lost and had to back down. Cuomo had wanted Trump to be more aggressive and then Trump said, yeah, that’s what you want, yeah, ok?
That said, some of these state governors have been like little Stalins. even our Florida gov has issued an “advisory” - soon to be edict, I’m sure - for people over 65 to stay indoors.

New York is Trump’s home state (even though hes’ switched his official address to Florida) — he obviously has PERSONAL attachment to it.
So it’s really annoying that Cuomo is trying to play politics with something as serious as this. Trump needs to put him in ihs place with the initial *threat* of a gesture. The behavior of some of these governors is atrocious.
Trump floated the idea of Federal
quarantine and Cuomo immediately wet the bed.
It’s probably too late anyway. Many New Yorkers already fled their liberal paradise.
Trump just gave Cuomo a wet Willy.
It’s like evacuating people in the path of a hurricane. We don’t have resources to help you if you get hit.
How in the name of God is Trump allowed to say those words!!! He’s not a doctor. Only doctors can say those kinds of words. (/s)
This exchange between and Trump and Cuomo should have been kept private. The public doesn’t need to see its leaders feuding, it will worsen the panic.
As usual President Trump has the most reasonable and measured response.

This is not a hurricane, which is an unpredictable local event. This is a manufactured crisis taking over an entire nation.
We’re all gonna die, 100% certain. I’d be perfectly happy to take the risk and have my kids inherit a great, functioning country and economy. I’m going to die and so are you...I may die sooner than you, since I’m in my early 70s - but we’re all gonna die.
I don’t want to drag the rest of the world down with me. And God loves us (and hates death) and if you trust in God, you will be fine.
