There are several points in his comments where he singles out people who have been elected in recent years (I seem to remember Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri as one of them) for recognition, and in several of those cases he makes the same interesting comment and its always a variation of this: I didn't know him/her before 2018, but once I saw that he/she could win I knew I could support him/her.
This is the one thing that explains the seemingly wild inconsistency he sometimes shows when dealing with Republicans in Washington. He has a MAGA agenda, but he has no problem supporting Republicans who are globalists ... because he always wants he support a WINNER no matter what.
