President Trump has signed the largest-ever US financial stimulus package, worth $2tn (£1.7tn), as the country grapples with the coronavirus pandemic.

The House of Representatives passed the cross-party bill two days after the Senate debated its provisions.

On Wednesday the number of Americans filing for unemployment surged to a record high of 3.3 million people.

The US has more confirmed cases of coronavirus than any other country, with more than 97,000 positive tests.

No Democratic lawmakers were invited to the historic signing ceremony, which was held at the White House.

The economic masturbation in DC (don’t call it a bailout or pump priming) would scandalize the sex fiend in Dr Sax.

It isn't a bailout, it is rebuilding. This is the result of a natural disaster, not human incompetence or greed.

Is vote harvesting in this gigantic porkulus? If it is and the courts don't throw it out, kiss America goodbye. Ballot harvesting is how the RATs stole enough seats in California to steal the House.

I think not inviting Democrats to the signing was a bad thing. Now they can wash their hands of it, even though they should wear it around their necks for loading it down with barrels and barrels of unnecessary pork.

“No Democratic lawmakers were invited to the historic signing ceremony, which was held at the White House.”

Don’t need to when we have more than an ample amount of Republicans and a president willing to do their bidding.

And I'm sure the media will be asking about that at the briefing this afternoon.

Now that they passed it they can find out what's in it.

Keep drinking the Kool-Aid if it makes you feel better. Did we need a $2 Trillion “rebuilding” after polio which was a real threat and killing and maiming children and young adults? This is a killer of old, sick and vulnerable people, but it never was going to take as many as the last flu season. This is like when a heavy snow storm is forecast in the Pacific Northwest and we get a trace.

Close. It’s like when the National Weather Service declares that “snow is expected to fall in the Northwest in the coming week”, the media hypes it into Blizzard-geddon, the governors shut down Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming, the President declares the region a disaster and allocates funds and deploys FEMA...and you get a trace.
