It’s perfect for my Mom’s sense of humor.
It’s already happening here where I live (suburb of Bham, Al). They are only doing take out at restaurants and some businesses have shut down such as beauty salons, but the distancing at grocery stores and drug stores has gone by the wayside. At the beginning of the week few people were out but now more and more people are at least moving around in cars. Not sure if there is a trend yet of overt disobedience.
When I told her I would fight it as this is probably not a legal ticket (because as far as I know the Vehicle Code has not changed) she replied: "She said it was because of the virus. Only 2 passengers, one in front, one in back."
I asked if those were the officer's exact words to her friend (no reply yet) and told her we need to see the ticket itself to see the exact code cited.
I am not aware of Newsom pulling a fast one in this regard so maybe her friend is just thoroughly confused, but in this state anything goes. Frankly what disturbs me is how compliantly everyone is just rolling along their new Government BFFs.
Have been to Hardware Store, Grocery Store, Drug Store, Gas Station, etc... in the last couple of hours.. Sucks that everything closes at 6:00.. But the the traffic has been great!

I remember Saudi shopkeepers closing their businesses down and chasing us Troops out for prayers. They took the mutaween seriously.
Because only commies and pussies try to keep their distance from carriers of virulent diseases. Good grief. What about our civil liberties?

In AutoZone last week, I had one of my GERD coughing fits, even though I did my level best to hold it back until I got out to the car.
I actually yelled to the 4 other people in the store “It’s just acid reflux, not a virus!”
This has to be the most overrated disease in history. Social distancing would be needed if we were coping with a medieval plague like smallpox, but not for what is only a more serious than average type of flu. Those scare stories from Italy involve deaths of older people with pre-existing conditions. And some people who get it have no symptoms.

Most of my stress comes from dealing with idiots. The person in the car who cuts you up. The car driver who does not let you pass and speeds up , then slows down on a two lane highway. The person who cuts you up in line, or you hold the door and they have no manners etc.
Why deal with all that ignorance when I can live in a safe sanctuary.
