The denominator is dead/dead+recovered(or closed cases). As more recover than die, we will see the mortality rate drop. The closed case number is a lagging number but already in Italy the recovering are edging out the dead. Our recovered cases in the US are 1800 vs 1000dead. If 500,000 have been tested and only 82000 are positive then 418000 are negative. That is 83.6 percent negative when tested across the US. Many states are in the low to mid 90’s percents in terms of negative tests when tested. NYC really skews the results right now.
If a person is tested once, then another time, is that counted as one or two people? One person two tests or two people two tests?
Just askin' 'cos dems know how to magnify numbers.
