Unemployment Insurance Weekly Claims
Initial claims were 3,283,000 for the week ending 3/21 (+3,001,000).
Insured unemployment was 1,803,000 for the week ending 3/14 (+101,000).

Thats gonna leave a mark. And it will only go up.
The experts were expecting 2.5 million.
Last week the claims were 281,000.
More reason to get this economy going again as soon as possible.
I’m impressed the system can process that many so quickly!
If this was a bio weapon attack they’re doing a good job. I believe this is an act of war. Those Chicoms knew what they were doing. And they have the left wing media running interference for them. Traitors. One and all.
I think it was Tom Cotton who this morning said recent grads would be getting $50,000 per year from this and it was a disincentive to working....ya think?
Rub some dirt on it. Walk it off.
Another check mark on the DEMS beat Trump wish list.
“I think it was Tom Cotton who this morning said recent grads would be getting $50,000 per year from this and it was a disincentive to working....ya think?”
And most will blow through it and will be owing a decent tax bill next year. Dopes
He’s right about how it will come roaring back and they can’t stand it.
That’s why he had to start the return to normal talk now and why they had to try and shout it down.
Because thus ends the latest coup attempt by the coup plotters.
The Trump Team
Must hammer home the point to the American people.
Who do you want leading us out of this mess in the next 4 years ? The man who brought us record growth and the lowest unemployment in decades (pre viral disaster) or a guy who was #2 in an administration that kept us just about stagnant for eight years ???
America you have two proven track records - Trump were bringing those jobs back or Biden - those jobs are gone forever
Who is checking citizenship for the million CA residents who filed for unemployment, and free money, in the last week?
Monthly numbers for March come out on April 3. Going to be another shocker.

I know someone who works at the unemployment office. They are working 10 hour days as well as on Sundays.
Last year in Minnesota there was about a thousand claims a week.
Last week they had almost 150,000.
I think we are going to hit around 30 million total newly unemployed. I expect the next report to jump 5 million. Then the next one about 8 million. Then about 7 million new claims the next two reports. Putting the total at around 30 million.
People are fools if they think this could just be turned back on. We are going to have a major depression. People will learn what a true crisis is. Its going to be a massive psychological blow to those that think this silly virus was bad.
Bookmark this site. They only have data through January right now, but you can look at each state to see how they’re doing, economy-wise.
I’ve been watching Wisconsin like a hawk, now that we have a Dem governor. Thank goodness Governor Walker left us with Republicans in charge in key positions as well as our House and Assembly (Senate)! Evers (D, WI) has been effectively neutered, and can’t harm us to any great extent, economically.
This shut down is going to leave a mark, though. I don’t think any of our states can escape it. :(

I don't think that will occur as long as there is a thoughtful, targeted, approach to startup of people going back to work within a sooner rather than later period of time.
I do believe we will take years to recover.
Well, it was the government that shut down businesses.
I guess Trump finally fell for one of the medias and liberal scum’s traps.
There are a lot of poor work ethic Americans that will take the 4 months unemployment and not look for work until it runs out. Summer break, kids are off. Why work when you are getting paid to sit at home.
Working is for the idiots of this country. We work, pay taxes so the Feds can give it to losers to sit at home and do nothing. Then when a bail out is needed, we work, pay taxes and pay the losers even more money.
I’m so irate.
