*** PORK ***
What the f does this have to do with fighting the corona virus? F’ing Kennedys. They didn’t shoot enough of them.
Trump said today, he likes the arts.
The Art of the Reacharound.
Those creepozoid Kennedys have often pushed for higher taxes, except for JFK. Even while campaigning for higher taxes, they placed much of their fortune in TAX-FREE municipal bonds. Creepozoids All.
I’m so thrilled they’ve saved the Kennedy Performing Arts center to the tune of $25 million. /s. NOT!!! This is nothing but “pork” for some high end lib RAT.
Too bad they couldn’t have tried to save our retirement accounts instead....whadda fricken’ bunch of useless jackasses. Useless as teats on a boar hog.
Ugh!!!
You know I watched Gov. Cuomo griping this morning that the Senate bill didn’t give his state, or NYC, enough cash to cover their losses... then you see this kind of pork. Or maybe we should call it bat stew. Has effectively zilch to do with fighting the virus. Maybe “deep cleaning” is needed, but that’s not gonna cost $25 million. And why is it a federal cost? Maybe the KC lost a lot of revenues during the crisis... well join the club!
Someone had better audit the funds to make sure they actually go to deep cleaning. It will probably be done by the firm of Dewey, Cheatham, and Howe.
It would help to install filters in the HVAC system that can block viruses with diameters under 20 nanometers. But thats true for every freaking public building in the country so why not, for example, fund the Grand Ole Opry?
They decided on March 12th to cancel everything until March 31st. On the 17th they decided to remain closed until at least May 10th. Seems a bit extreme. Im glad I didnt donate any money.
Yes, enough for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and every meal
through the March two years down the road.
Yeah, he said he approves of this. ...I was really disappointed to hear him say that.
Well they are ordered closed by the state I’m sure, like all large gathering places. And we’re all playing it by ear at the moment. But what makes them special and unique from the Roof restaurant across the street? They don’t have an endowment? Do they pay property tax? Sales tax? Income tax? I like the arts too. I don’t like the art of making sausage Congressional style.
maybe the stock market crash was also a ploy to get the govt to "do something" which is always good for business....
and maybe I'm just cranky paranoid...
Well I guess its odd that this particular theatre was awarded honorable mention while every other theatre and movie house (small business) has to apply for relief.
The Kennedy Center is entertainment, which is low priority. If people don’t have jobs, they can’t afford to buy tickets anyway.
It also covers women’s tampons etc as medically deductible...which has NOTHING to do with the virus.
