Any further assaults against us should trigger extremely disproportionate responses. They are amazingly vulnerable on a number of fronts. Food, fiber, and energy are obvious examples. Disengaging our ‘supply chain’ from their economy is another. And after they have paid us full recompense for the damages stemming from the Wuhan virus attack, they should be put on notice that should they attack us in any way or engage in any sort of preparations for warlike action, Three Gorges Dam will be destroyed, for openers.

It’s now considered fake news and racist to call it the Wuhan or Chinese Virus. Facebook prefers to call it the Trump Virus (something I first heard from the Communist Chinese) and later the Democrats
Assuming the article presents a compelling legal argument (I didn’t read), it’s likely a better (and more fruitful) case can be made against those that insisted on doing business with a country with a history of exposing the US with a plethora of viruses over decades.
Both the United States and China both have similar concepts of sovereign immunity and China is a communist country where the communist party is and is above the law. Any lawsuit is a wasted effort.
China did not cause us to destroy our economy. That is a self inflicted wound. We let the Progs dunk on us.
Seize any assets they own here (property, bank accounts, etc.), wipe out the debt we owe (entirely), then hold them subject to wrongful death and damages compensation to every person infected with the virus. Leave them in ruin.
if one really wanted hurt the Chinese for covid-19, one might consider rendering quick default judgments against PRC foreigners’ real estate holdings and bank accounts. This would hurt mostly the PRC investor class, which is the same as the PRC communist party honchos. It would also generate a large amount of cash. Anything held in trust by their kids, confiscate all of that too, and let them appeal it in court.
