On Sunday, the news was that Democrats in the Senate, having worked to draft a bipartisan bill to help Americans through the coronavirus crisis, received orders from Rep. Nancy Pelosi to reject it. On Monday, the Democrats doubled down on that rejection.
Also, on Monday, Nancy proposed a 1,100-page bill that did provide some help for America’s workers, small businesses, and corporations. Most of the bill, though, was given over to Democrat wish-list items. If coronavirus had hit America with a Democrat in the White House and a Democrat majority in Congress, by Monday's end, a new law would have
* raised the federal minimum wage to $15,
* subsidized student loan debt,
* provided more funds for PBS,
* funded the IRS and the Postal Service,
* mandated race and gender diversity for corporate boards,
* implemented same-day voter registration
* required airplanes to be carbon neutral in five years,
* as well as a host of other initiatives pandering to social justice, environmental, and union concerns – and all of it would ostensibly have been done to protect American workers from coronavirus’s ravages on the economy.
Speaking in the Senate without any Democrats present, Sen. Tom Cotton (R., Ark.) shredded Democrats for their proposals:

Twenty-four hours later, though, everything changed.
What might have tipped Nancy Pelosi off to the fact that her proposed legislation wasn’t a winner was the pushback she got from Dana Bash on CNN. Bash sits there stone-faced as Pelosi explains that everything in her proposed bill will only address issues associated with coronavirus. When Bash politely expressed some mild concerns, Pelosi got so flustered that she advanced multiple thoughts without finishing a single one and without explaining coherently why any of her leftist boondoggles deserved to go forward:

The original bill was originally about 200 pages. Nanzi added so much pork that it ballooned 5 times that.
Of course,she was hoping that very few people would take the time to read it given the urgency of the situation ( her usual, “let’s pass it to see what’s in it” way of legislating ).
San Francisco keeps sending her back to Congress to torment this country.
She'll be getting a visit from the Dem caucus letting her know that it's time to "Vacate the Chair".
Or, there will be an open rebellion in public and the Chair will be vacated by vote.

Considering how Republicans tend to be quislings who want to get along with Democrats I would not be surprised if the deal they struck was just that happening!
That lets them claim a meaningless moment of victory while the Democrats get everything they want as usual.
Oh, and unlike the Democrats (on promises like border enforcement after amnesty) expect the Republicans to not bail later. Promises to their voters may not matter but to Democrats? A whole ‘nother thing.
Well you are right. The MSM is the DNC, they are not separate entities. That fact is a worth a good 10% in the vote totals.
