I watched the video you linked to where Dr Oz interviewed the French doctor, one of the most esteemed epidemiologists in the world.
I could help but notice that he touched his hands to his face and beard throughout the interview. That alone will no doubt have the left dismissing him as a quack. It’s a habit that’s hard to kick though, speaking from personal experience.
I would note Dr. Oz misinterpreted him when he spoke later on Fox News (on Hannity, I think). He said that the French doctor considered it unethical not to offer his treatment, which seemed a stretch when I heard it. What the doctor actually said is that a trial with a placebo arm when dealing with a deadly disease should be considered unethical. Instead, one or more different current treatments should be compared with the proposed new treatment. That way, it made more sense. You shouldn’t put someone who is likely to die without treatment on a placebo.
Saw a video of people packed in the subway like sardines. This was yesterday. How in Hades do they expect the situation to get better unless they shut down mass transit??

The only people who might need a ventilator are the serious/critically ill. Of a total of 59,447 active cases ACROSS THE ENTIRE COUNTRY NOT JUST NY, there are 1307 categorized as such. And not all those cases require ventilation.
