Fantastic if true, but get out the Crayolas and color me skeptical

Why?

There are peer-reviewed journals from the SARS outbreak that clearly demonstrated that increased intercellular zinc effectively stopped the replicase of the virus strands with the cell.

The problem was - how do you get extra zinc into the cells that the virus is attaching to (those with ACE2 receptors)?

Enter hydroxychloroquine - it acts as a "zinc ionophore".

This means hydroxychloroquine is able to create a zinc gateway into cells.

This treatment, along with extra zinc create the 1 - 2 punch to stop the virus from taking over somebody's body. It kills it.

Another study has shown that adding Azithromycin as an anti-inflammatory does the job even more efficiently.

No voodoo magic here - like there is with Remdesivir - which actually attempts to alter "bases" in the virus RNA strand during replication.

I want to know what “success” is!

Zelenko defined success, to him, as preventing infected people from needing to be hospitalized in the first place.

Pfft. Piker. I heard that the PRC’s army doctors treated over 10,000 Coronavirus patients with their special lead cure, and nary a one died from the Coronavirus (now, lead poisoning, though ....).

If I had the virus Id take the drug combo..in fact Ive taken azithromycin before, so has my brother(twice) its a good drug, combine that with the malaria drug, if something can help people who are already very critical why not, if they are going to die anyway its worth the risk

here’s a source that MIGHT be a bit more legit than the scurrilous WND (after all, forward.com completely lied when they said “Dr. Fauci suggested that he would only make the drug available under the auspices of a controlled clinical trial.” [Fauci did NOT say that, and besides, he does NOT control the availability of ANY drug]):

https://forward.com/news/national/442285/coronavirus-hydroxychloroquine-trump-doctor/

“A doctor treating clients in a Hasidic village in upstate New York said in an interview on Tuesday that none of the roughly 500 people he has treated for coronavirus symptoms symptoms has required hospitalization”

so, this doc treated SYMPTOMS (like cold symptoms) and has zero idea whether ANY of his “patients” ACTUALLY had COVID-19!

Which again is kind of an open-ended negative that cannot be proven.

How does he know they would’ve gone into a hospital as it is? Besides everyone being hyper about it and putting anyone in who has a cough?

That’s nice, and I know it applies to high-risk people (although I wasn’t sure about that “starting to show symptoms” - anyone, or just high-risk?).

But bear in mind the French test people talk about was based on 20 patients total who were given the treatment (16 not). Big deal. All my questions would still hold.

Zinc is very useful but don’t take too much or your kidneys will not like it.

Don’t overdo the zinc!

Ask your physician!

Just so everybody's clear on what he said:

Here is a copy of the letter he sent.

March 23, 2020

To all medical professionals around the world:

My name is Dr. Zev Zelenko and I practice medicine in Monroe, NY. For the last 16 years, I have cared for approximately 75% of the adult population of Kiryas Joel, which is a very close knit community of approximately 35,000 people in which the infection spread rapidly and unchecked prior to the imposition of social distancing.

As of today my team has tested approximately 200 people from this community for Covid-19, and 65% of the results have been positive. If extrapolated to the entire community, that means more than 20,000 people are infected at the present time. Of this group, I estimate that there are 1500 patients who are in the high-risk category (i.e. >60, immunocompromised, comorbidities, etc).

Given the urgency of the situation, I developed the following treatment protocol in the pre-hospital setting and have seen only positive results:

1. Any patient with shortness of breath regardless of age is treated.
2. Any patient in the high-risk category even with just mild symptoms is treated.
3. Young, healthy and low risk patients even with symptoms are not treated (unless their circumstances change and they fall into category 1 or 2).

My out-patient treatment regimen is as follows:

1. Hydroxychloroquine 200mg twice a day for 5 days
2. Azithromycin 500mg once a day for 5 days
3. Zinc sulfate 220mg once a day for 5 days

The rationale for my treatment plan is as follows. I combined the data available from China and South Korea with the recent study published from France (sites available on request). We know that hydroxychloroquine helps Zinc enter the cell. We know that Zinc slows viral replication within the cell. Regarding the use of azithromycin, I postulate it prevents secondary bacterial infections. These three drugs are well known and usually well tolerated, hence the risk to the patient is low.

Since last Thursday, my team has treated approximately 350 patients in Kiryas Joel and another 150 patients in other areas of New York with the above regimen.

Of this group and the information provided to me by affiliated medical teams, we have had ZERO deaths, ZERO hospitalizations, and ZERO intubations. In addition, I have not heard of any negative side effects other than approximately 10% of patients with temporary nausea and diarrhea.

In sum, my urgent recommendation is to initiate treatment in the outpatient setting as soon as possible in accordance with the above. Based on my direct experience, it prevents acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), prevents the need for hospitalization and saves lives.

With much respect,

Dr. Zev Zelenko

“If this keeps up, the MSM will be claiming that PDJT never recommended the drug, even though he did. That’ll be fun.”

Or why didn’t he do it sooner.

Success - Or a pretty good start.

Zelenko said he saw the symptom of shortness of breath resolved within four to six hours...

Dr. Peter Costantino, the chairman of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City...

noted there were no hospitilizations, intubations or deaths among Zelenko's 350 patients. As many as 40 hospitalizations would have been expected, he said, along with possibly two or three deaths.

If coronavirus has spread to this Hasidic Jewish community, it will spread within that community like wildfire as they are in very close proximity to each other and are related to each other in one big extended family...... he’s saying that he thinks 60% of the community is infected, and that’s just a guess, but if he’s a doctor in that area he would have a pretty good idea..... I would assume he’s treated this community in the past during flu epidemics that probably spread very quickly there as well

The Doctor....looks like a loon.

But that is profiling...

I hope he is right...

I kind of doubt his claims...

I'm I wrong?
