Early Tuesday morning, President Trump continued to signal that it is his intention to re-open the U.S. economy and get Americans back to work sooner rather than later. Repeating yesterday’s theme that the government can’t afford to implement a draconian “cure” that is worse than the China Virus, the President issued the following tweet:

For an investment community hungering to see a bottom reached in the stock market indexes, this is a crucial moment in time. There is no way the markets can find their bottom when they have no certainty – or even any real idea – about when business might resume and start getting the economy fully back on-line.
Markets were already soaring today on the prospect of the Democrats caving in and allowing the Senate stimulus measure to move through the process. The President’s move to set a firm target date for beginning to get the economy moving again will only serve to support that positive sentiment among investors longing for some good news.
As usual, President Trump’s sense of timing yesterday and today was impeccable. Be glad he’s your President.

Lets all pray that the drug trial go well and they are also even marginally effective as a prophylactic for higher risk people. With the national emergency declaration all the FDA red tape can be voided by POTUS and he can use the defense production act to order the drug makers to mass produce these drugs.
He said he’d LOVE to have the country open again by Easter, not that it would.
People shouldn’t read into that more than what he said.
I believe the hydroxychloroquine therapy will ultimately be the silver bullet for this disease. He said he was very hopeful for it, but it might not. It is good to have hope, and there’s good reason for it in this medicine.
If in fact this medicine or the overall class of anti-malarial drugs keeps people from dying, then yes, the economy should take off and Easter shall be a very blessed time!

It’s also good the drought ended, that water rationing was going to hurt farmers bad. Nut trees were in big danger from what I read. To the thread point, farmers and ranchers never did stop working.

Liz Cheney just came out against reopening country.
It is definitely a hopeful message and is one that has had an effect around the world, not just in this country.
A friend in the UK, where their leader has banned gatherings of more than 2 people, was very hopeful today when I spoke with her. And she has not liked our President up until now because she only gets her news from the BBC and other gov. sponsored press in the UK.
She said things were looking up - thanks to our President’s hopeful words.
