Almost everyone acknowledges that the homeless population is at great risk of coronavirus, but so far as I have been able to determine, nobody is telling us the percentage of the hospitalized cases and the deaths are accounted for by that same population — nationally or in specific locales. California's Governor Gavin Newsom authorized funding for housing homeless in trailers and hotel rooms, but so far, few of them have taken advantage of the offer.
I know we are supposed to have nothing but compassion for the homeless, and my heart breaks for those of them who are not drug-addicted and irresponsible. But the evidence of my eyes is that many I have encountered in the Bay Area are drug addicts who prefer to shun all responsibilities.
Homeless people on L.A.'s skid row congregate.
This video via Alexandra Datig on Twitter and Grabien shows that homeless people in Los Angeles are not exactly complying with the basic advice to avoid gatherings.
We need to know if people in suburban and rural locations really are at serious risk, or if the restrictions and resources ought to be concentrated on the populations that are spreading the virus the most. Millions of people who may be at little risk in California, New York, and other jurisdictions are being confined at home. In my suburban California neighborhood, there are many dog-walkers about, and none of them gets close to anyone else. It isn't that hard to maintain social distance, and I think most people able to pull off a middle-class lifestyle are able to maintain social distance and wash their hands after touching anything that might have been touched by others.

Thanks.
Now we need a comparison table of CV cases in the cities with the most homeless, side by side.
I was in Portland in February. As I was walking down by the train station, I passed a long row of homeless tents. I distinctly remember hearing many, many of them coughing and thought to myself, “Man, there must be a serious illness going through these people. This can’t be a good thing.”
Needless to say, there was also a lot of excretion and secretion on the streets. It was foul.
Good question. Valuable information is not being conveyed to us. I think a whole lot of people realize that.
Just don’t go wading into the “homeless” looking for victims.
... or illegal aliens
They are most likely immune sense their used to living in their own waste and the waste generated daily in those cities where they are a protected species.
Illegals working agriculture around pesticides will tend to have respiratory
problems - they will have a tough time if infected.
An even more pertinent question:
What Percentage Of Coronavirus Hospitalizations And Deaths Are Due To Democrat Intransigence and Roadblocking In Hopes It Will Damage Trump?
Interesting question.Bring Out Your DeadShort answer: Zero. if you aren't tested you're never diagnosed as having the Chinese Virus.
Longer comment: Is it just me, or is this really the first time the presstitutes have ignored the homeless when a Republican is in the White House?
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
The false positive rate was 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
If a quarantine saves just one child's or one old farts life, it's worth it.
I am quite certain HIPPA is keeping us from all sorts of useful information about many diseases, both from a medical and policy standpoint.
RE: Short answer: Zero. if you aren’t tested you’re never diagnosed as having the Chinese Virus.
That’s like saying, yes, they’re probably infecting each other and others but they don’t count anyway (because we don’t want our alarming stats to go higher than it already is ).
In Washington state, I would say very few.
93% of the Fatalities in Washington state were age 60 or above.
Obviously, some of the homeless are elderly, but most of those people qualify for SSI or Disability, Medicaid or Medicare, and Senior Citizen Shelters by the time they hit 60.
Other than that first batch of deaths in the Washington State nursing home, govt. authorities and the media have been very coy about revealing anything about those who’ve succumbed. As always, this suggests there’s a fairly obvious demographic pattern — probably several — they don’t care to reveal.
RE: In Washington state, I would say very few.
So, there were no homeless people hospitalized?
What Percentage Of Coronavirus Hospitalizations And Deaths Are Due To Democrat Intransigence and Roadblocking In Hopes It Will Damage Trump?
Yes, good question. Furthermore, what are the DNCs numbers saying about the exact number of deaths and how many rat votes will that make. Not including the dead voters that already vote for Rats. They must have a number in mind.
You'll just love what happened in Houston. A homeless person tested positive for the corona virus... then he was let go, back out onto the street.
That’s what it’s saying. Sad, ain’t it?
Seriously, these are the people who celebrate murdering the most innocent of us all, babies in the womb, do you expect them to feel kindness to the bum trying to survive by interrupting their stroll to ask for money?
