I deplore the reality that Republican squishy senators will cave and pass this bill which will not only bankrupt the country but install various kinds of tyranny and leave us in a state in which we cannot correct the excesses of the legislation without a supermajority control of the Senate and control of the other branches. Even then, the resolution of Republicans to do the right thing is dubious.
I think the Republicans should vote against the bill, I think the president should veto it, I think the entire approach should be changed, the country should be put back to work and old people like me should be quarantined.
