It should be "pitted" (with two t's) and "Trump & me against one another."

Someone probably tried to correct Fauci on his poor grammar early on, but like the millennials of today, he wanted to do it his way anyway.
That was me. I was in a rush to post. I’m normally a stickler for grammar. Not today, apparently! ;-)
I listened to the entire interview at

and didn’t hear him make that grammatical mistake. Maybe I missed it, but I was sort of listening for it.
