AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin and Travis County are expected to issue orders Tuesday telling people to stay at home to help prevent the further spread of the coronavirus, Mayor Steve Adler told KXAN Monday.
“I would anticipate that probably tomorrow the county judge and I will enter new orders,” he said.
City and county lawyers are discussing Monday night when it would take effect.
While Austin says it’s still working on the details of the order, it may look something like Dallas County’s rules. During the stay-at-home order time in Dallas, only “essential” businesses will be allowed to continue operating. Those include healthcare providers, government facilities, utility companies and grocery stories. Restaurants are still allowed to operate takeout and delivery service.
“I think everyone’s trigger with this virus is recognizing that while it’s going to pass through and lots of people are going to get it, to try and not have everyone get it all at once so the hospital systems are not overtaxed,” Adler said.

When confronted with the garbage, trash, and mess left by the vagrants the leftists invited into Austin, Mayor Addledhead went to San Francisco to learn and adopt their techniques on dealing with the problem. Following that, the Texas governor had to use state resources to clean up the mess in Austin.

Kinda reminds me of when the Austin smoking nazis told all the smokers they had to go outside and stand 10 feet away from the door of any restaurant or bar.
Then, a month later, the environmentalists complained because there was a spike in the amount of nicotine in the runoff water to the lake.

The rest of Texas will be relieved ... keep Austin weird ..at home.
