Well, I’ll be 70 next year, and I have Medicare. But I know people who went on COBRA because they really liked the plan their employer had provided, then bought the bullet when the COBRA period expired. Their COBRA premiums were less than their ObamaCare premiums. Or so they told me.

The President did not downplay the seriousness of the virus early on. That is media spin. He took steps to halt air travel from China and he assembled the task force. In an effort to forestall panic, he also initially (and correctly) compared the Corona virus to the annual flu which infects and kills far more people (so far).
That’s why they hate him so much, buddy.
He smacks them in their faces and makes them look like the ridiculous, small, petty, vindictive POS they really are.
