West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice has a message about the coronavirus pandemic: Its like a scary movie.
In an apparent attempt to sooth a nervous public, Justice, in a statewide address Saturday night, offered a rambling response to the virus in which he declined to order a broad lockdown, issued dire warnings about New York state, urged people to follow existing protocols and admitted that perhaps his speech could have waited until Monday.
Its like were all lost in a movie that we cant relate to in any way, he said during the roughly 25-minute address that left many on social media scratching their heads.
It was very odd. I felt like I was being lectured by my Step Dad.
Dollar General, Family Dollar and thank God, the end is not here yet, Goodwill!
Scored a really nice Egyptian cotton blanket and a new iPod charger, which I just happened to need desperately as of this morning when the cable on my old one gave out.
Yay!
Thanks to my hillbilly brain processes, I found nitrile gloves and a thermometer when the rest of the world was sold out.
Tractor Supply rules.
:D
Yup.
My city days are fading quickly.
I grew up in an urban area and have gradually move to increasingly more and more rural areas.
Looking forward to our final move to very rural NH.
Got the gun safe and working on procuring the guns and ammo.
Can't wait to leave this liberal hell hole of a state for good.
Upstate NY, which is exceedingly rural, is beautiful and rich in agriculture: dairy farms, apple orchards, and vinyards.
But NYC controls the politics and has destroyed the economy here and ruined a once prosperous state.
Anyway, the point is, rural folks are prepared for stuff and take a lot more in stride.
