“The way in which we code deaths in our country is very generous in the sense that all the people who die in hospitals with the coronavirus are deemed to be dying of the coronavirus,” Prof. Riccardi told The Telegraph.
What he’s saying here is that anyone dying in a hospital where there are people dying from the coronavirus will be counted as dying from the coronavirus.
One would only have to look at what is the daily death rate in Italy, before all this started.
I recall reading about how some/many European countries count various crimes, and it is difficult to compare them to USA statistics. In some European countries, inappropriate touching is called “rape” in their statistics.
That's one way to interpret his statement, but I don't see any reason to assert that this interpretation, rather than the, "He had coronavirus, but he 'really' died from COPD," interpretation, is accurate.
another thing. people should stop putting pressure on the President re testing.
when CDC says a billion people worldwide got seasonal flu and 650,000 to 1 million died or whatever, that doesn’t mean the billion or anything like that were tested.
it will be long after Covid-19 has run its course that any sense can be made of the stats, and they will still only be best guest-imates.
stop panic-ing. so far, Covid-19 looks fairly ordinary. don’t sweat over jumps in figures due to more testing, etc.
just wash your hands, and take care of you and yours generally.
it looks like the President will be put under pressure to lock down the economy indefinitely and there are already attempts to stop normal voting in November.
however he decides, the FakeNewsMSM will attack him. it wouldn’t be difficult to spread some covid-19 around if the Deep State wanted to claim he ended a lock-down prematurely. what a battle is ahead.
Money is saved on autopsies, although it can be safely assumed that those dying while being respirated were COVID-19 victims.
Poorly written, that. Open to two interpretations. I interpret it the other way than you do. Reporters today :(
I wonder how accurately they diagnose it, or if anyone with flu-like symptoms is considered to have CV. I think there was a regular seasonal flu circulating in Italy before this.

Wow! Very good point,
