Well, other than the last 150 years, the French and English have been at war for over 1,000 years. A return to ‘the good old days’, I guess!

the French and English have been at war for over 1,000 years.

I had ancestors fighting on both sides in the Norman Conquest, 1066 to 1075.

Despite having personally led military against the French in his youth George Washington welcomed a French army to the Colonies ,without which aid there probably wouldn’t be a U.S. separate from England.And it was a France ruled by a king that sent that aid. It was after the Colonies became United States that the French embraced terrorism and murder as their temporary solution.
