There will be no funeral ceremonies or visitations in New York state because of Gov. Andrew Cuomos executive order Friday that bans all gatherings during the coronavirus shutdown.
Bodies will continue to be buried or cremated, but funeral services for relatives and other mourners must take place later, said Mike Lanotte, executive director and CEO of the NYS Funeral Directors Association.
Even families will not be permitted to attend services, Lanotte said.
How is this not a police state policy? Why is there no citizen outrage? Is it because we think of ourselves as serfs and subjects eager to obey the next insane order from our rulers?
Dear God. I am so terribly sorry for your loss..and for the further pain hoisted upon you with this regulation. May God bless you.
Thank you everybody for your kind thoughts. It’s like a police state, I just want closure, don’t know if I will get it.
Awful times .
Many Prayers
Sending love from Colorado. We’re thinking of you, today.
