My oldest son’s Rheumatologist prescribed Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine) twice a day several years ago for his Rheumatoid arthritis. He’s been taking it all along with Humira injections, without any side effects. I have no idea what the dosage is.
Both hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin can cause fatal heart arrythmias by prolonging the Q-Tc interval. Under normal conditions this is monitored by EKG and dosages adjusted accordingly.
In what are going to look like MASH units in a week or two, this type of monitoring will not be possible.
Would I, personally, take these drugs if I had severe COVID-19? You bet I would.
Will the families of people who takes them unmonitored and who die have successful lawsuits (presuming courts remain in power under a surviving regime)? You bet they will.
