'We ordered them. We have millions of units ordered,' Trump said, name checking the German manufacturer Bayer, which he called a 'great company.'
'Millions of units are ordered and we’re going to see what happens,' Trump said.
Trump and health officials referenced the drug yesterday as among those having promising potential to alleviate those suffering from the coronavirus – although Trump was immediately contradicted on claims that it was ready for use.

There would obviously be no studies that prove it work at this point, since the virus is new. But I assume this drug has been around for years so it’s been proven safe?

The headline is false. Fauci said that the malaria drug could work but it takes a long clinical testing to validate the cure.

In my opinion,, Fauci was miffed at the President and the reporters. Seemed to be exasperated.
Fauci isn’t the best communicator.
He’s not teaching a regulatory science class, which is essentially how he responded.
I Knew this was gonna happen when i heard all those cameras clicking madly when he was answering that question- I knew they would use an ‘angry photo’ to attack Trump with, and sure enough, here it is-

Those of us that actually watched the press conference know that The President did not “explode”.
And that the target of his ire was the idiot reporters and their “questions” which were just thinly-veiled accusatory statements.
I’d like to see Trump introduce these clowns to the efficacy of products produced by IG Farben, predecessor of Bayer, during the 30s and 40s.
