More like did not meet the minimum USP standard purity of 93% or not made under GMP requirements. But since fish don’t care about either it is fine for that use.
Reminds me of a story:
A man went into a bait and tackle shop to buy some fishing gear.
He asked the proprietor what his best selling lure was.
