Chloroquine isn’t the harmless pill people seem to think it is. Rarely people have severe psychotic episodes as a side effect. Murder/suicide is a little more serious than a rash.
Worked with a woman about 10 years ago who traveled to India (family wedding) and took the drugs that one takes when one travels to certain places. I believe one was an anti-malarial drug (I have no idea if it was Chloroquine). She had a serious breakdown and was out of action for months. Really messed her up mentally.
