President Trump announced in a press conference Thursday that chloroquine phosphate -- a substance found in drugs used to treat malaria and severe arthritis -- was cleared by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to test as a treatment for the coronavirus.
That same substance, outside its pharmaceutical form, is used as an additive in aquariums to kill microscopic organisms that might harm fish and other aquatic animals. And, the prices for chloroquine phosphate have surged online in late February and early March, according to a study published Thursday, sparking fears that people may be ingesting the fish-tank additive in the hope it will combat COVID-19 illnesses.
The study, conducted by Storyful before Trump named the drug publicly Thursday, analyzed three identical listings from the same eBay seller, “thechemicalsource,” who opened bids on bottles of chloroquine phosphate used in aquariums for one week. Between February 25 and March 2, the price paid for a single 25-gram bottle of chloroquine phosphate skyrocketed from $9.99 to more than $500, the study said. The seller warned in each listing that the substance was not for human consumption.

Exactly, I brought this up yesterday with some of my friends. We have been using hydroxychloroquine for 65 years and know everything there is to know about it. It is used for the treatment of malaria as well as lupus and rheumatoid arthritis...and they already damn well know what the maximum safe dosage is.
To make their reticence to widely prescribe this medication even more baffling, hydroxychloroquine is plentiful and can be found in every Pharmacy in the United States. It is also cheap, selling right now at Walmart for $19.80 for 60-200mg
Tablets, enough to treat two people for 10 days using the 600mg per day protocol described in the successful French trial.
A dear friend of mine has been taking this medication for 10 years without side effect. She is required to see an ophthalmologist every 3 months to have her eyes examined and also to check in with her doctor to be sure there are no other contraindications.
This medication needs to prescribed to anyone doctors even suspect of having SARS-CoV-2. If this happens, you will see the mortality rate decline to near-zero.
Especially when every prescription med that is advertised on television 24/7 has a list of blood-curdling side effects that will stand your hair on end.

Tonic water contains quinine which is the same thing. Each glass of tonic watrer contains about 10% dose so you will need to drink 10 gin and tonics a day to have the correct dosage.
For those who say “It’s not the same!” Yes it is. The difference is it is not being used for the intended use. That pisses off Uncle Sugar, the Pharma business and those profiting off of it.
Between 6 to 12 liters of tonic water to get a theraputic dose.

You do not have to be a libertarian to beleive adults should be able to use any drug they wish. Prohibition has never worked without draconian penalties. The so called war on drugs has enabled big government and eroded our constitutional rights. How much are you willing to give up in order to keep you neighbor from using drugs our government has deemed illegal?
A prescription is needed to buy hydroxychloroquine. I actually have a contact with an overseas Pharmacy company and I sent my contact a note asking if it is available from them. They do not require a subscription. If you will send me a private message, I will let you know what I find out.
Just more gaslighting to claim this virus is somehow only killed by drug therapy and extraordinary measures.
No one took this measure for the flu, which is a virus and kills tens of thousands of American every year.

I have fish antibiotics I’m my preps. I would not take them unless there were no alternatives, but wouldn’t hesitate in that situation. These are 500 mg amoxicillin tablets, just like you would get from the pharmacy.
They're allocating only ONE N95 per staff member per day at my daughter's hospital. I just bought her a box of them from Amazon.
