“Why is it that a healthy young American like me - in the demographic most likely to survive Coronavirus – is panicking”

Because it’s the in thing to do, and you’re gullible.

Boomers have seen a few epidemics, maybe had a heart attack or two, or are in remission from Big C. What’s yet one more thing to die from?

I was told we would all be dead from a polluted environment in 1967, in the third grade. We even had a school play to act put our various ways pollution would be killing us.

Global cooling.

China Syndrome and Three Mile Island.

Aids.

Ebola.

Yada, yada, yada.

That and we're tougher.

We had to walk 4 miles to school every day uphill. Both ways.

And, we're so old we've got the Neanderthal gene that makes us tough to kill.

We are going to die of something, and most of us have made peace with that.

Agree, we can smell the Bullshyte at a much further distance and not as immature mentally as the youngsters who want to be “in” with the latest buzz

BY and large folks my age look at this and say Yeah, sure...

If it is my time then hey let’s go, till then I am gonna use common sense and after all I have already survived I am not scared in the least

I don’t know about other Boomers but I learned a long time ago that panicking almost guarantees that whatever situation you’re facing will get a lot worse fast.

If Millennials or whatever don’t think so they should give panic a whirl and see how that works. There is nothing like sticking a fork in the wall socket to learn a lesson. :)

Millennial here, not panicking. Just more angry over all this. Yes, the ChiComVirus or what every you want to call it is a serious issue that needs to be addressed the government mandated shutdowns of a huge part of the economy make me angry.

I remember the 2009-2010 Swine flu the ChiComs gave us and nothing closed, life went on, and no reports of full ICUs that I remember.

I have see more Gen X types be the ones throwing tantrums on FB or Twitter over this, whining how they saw a small group of people playing basketball in a park and demanding the gov do more to stop this.
