South Korea, China and Singapore are among the Asian countries facing a second coronavirus wave, fuelled by people importing it from outside.
China, where the virus first emerged, confirmed it had no new domestic cases on Wednesday for the first time since the outbreak began, a major milestone. But it reported 34 new cases among people who recently returned to China.
Singapore also reported 47 new cases, of which 33 were imported - 30 of them returned Singapore residents.
South Korea saw a jump in new cases on Thursday with 152, though it is not clear how many were imported.
A new cluster there is centred on a nursing home in Daegu, where 74 patients have tested positive.

From the White House (e-mail, excerpt):
As America faces an unprecedented global threat from the Coronavirus, President Trump made another important announcement at todays White House briefing.
Today I want to share with you exciting progress that the FDA is making with the private sector as we slash red tape like nobody has ever done it before, he said. Ive directed the FDA to eliminate outdated rules and bureaucracy so this work can proceed rapidly, quicklyand, I mean, fast. And we have to remove every barrier.

Not even one new case in the entire country. Wow. The ChiComs are amazing. Amazing liars.
About those imported cases, I would be fine with those Asian countries simply stopping those visitors from getting in. And we can do the same over here.
They aren’t even trying any more.
more reason to close our borders NOW
end all immigration and refugees NOW
Chinese garment factory workers returning from Italy?
Well, it sounds like maybe we really need to pay attention & keep people from coming here until the virus is really gone.
I am sure all these imports who tested positive are under quarantine until they have gotten over it.

Meanwhile there’s a fully loaded 787 going from Xinhua to Vancouver, where they will NOT be screened for anything, as we speak.
I posted a study/workshop on pandemics earlier today that was done before this outbreak
It talked about how it comes in waves.
The deadliest wave might be expected in about 6 months after the first, IIRC
This was what Ive been waiting for. To see how they do after the quarantine was lifted. It may not all be imported cases. But, those within the country that are now showing symptoms.
What goes around comes around
Boomerang effect
I noticed that Singapore’s numbers popped yesterday and wondered whether a lot of that was people scrambling through airports and airplanes the last few weeks to get home.
I am in Colombia. 2/3 of the cases here were Colombians returning from Europe.
Thats how Pandemics roll....
marked on the chart where the cases drop suddenly:
“Drop after return to original definition of diagnosis”
what does that mean?
not how BBC, at the conclusion, almost eliminates China:
The World Health Organization (WHO) says the vast majority - 80% - have occurred in Europe and the Western Pacific region, which includes much of Asia.
finally - taking China at its word...is that all there is to covid-19? the equivalent of about 20,000 infections in US and a few thousand deaths? really!
please explain why the West has committed economic suicide en masse?
should have said “and the equivalent in the US of less than a thousand deaths”.
Recycling it like a sump pump recycles water that won’t drain away from the house. Or something like that.
