Bayer AG said on Thursday it has donated 3 million tablets of the malaria drug Resochin to the U.S. government for potential use to treat COVID-19.
Resochin, made of chloroquine phosphate and an approved treatment for malaria, is being evaluated in China for its potential use against COVID-19, the disease caused by the fast-spreading coronavirus.

Good marketing move.
Thanks, Krauts. Almost makes up for you guys inventing heroin. I kid, I kid.
Not insignificant. I believe the dosage is two pills on day one, and one pill there after. For how long is up in the air. For Malaria I believe the course is 3 or 4 days. I might have read for CV purposes the treatment might be a bit longer.
This will help them after all the RoundUp bad press.
“Resochin, made of chloroquine phosphate and an approved treatment for malaria, is being evaluated in China for its potential use against COVID-19, the disease caused by the fast-spreading coronavirus?
Reuters slow on the up take as usual. Chloroquine is in use and being evaluated in plenty of place beyond China for CV.
Good for Bayer.
If there are 10,000 with CV, and you figure 3 pills a day (I understand they worked in 6 days....so say 7) that’s 210,000 pills to take care of those currently ill. Then you give 21 pills to those feeling ill as they happen, then those who have been exposed.
If this works like it seams to, I say this whole thing will be over before we know it.
I also heard that taking this medication will prevent one from getting sick.
So,where do the 3 million go after they're sent to the government?
Thanks Bayer. Almost makes up for the Holocaust you helped facilitate.

Into the pharmaceutical supply chain to your local pharmacist as well as to institutional pharmacies in hospitals and other medical facilities.
Does Bayer have its aspirin manufactured in China?

Good news!
Malaria is a parasite with a complex life cycle and not a bacterium...
