As screening sites open and close, supplies run short and criteria for participation change, many cant determine if they have the virus
Feeling sick on Friday, Rachael Willingham went to the doctor, who gave her an order for the new coronavirus test and sent her to a mobile clinic the Colorado health department had set up.
When she arrived at 9:45 a.m., a half-dozen police officers were blocking the entrance. She returned to the clinic that afternoon, but was told testing was over for the day.
Ms. Willingham called a number for the state health department and was told to come back Saturday at noon. She did, only to find testing had been moved to the Denver Coliseum. When she got to the stadium, she waited in a line of hundreds of cars for almost two hours, only to be turned away again with no explanation.
Its making this worse, the 29-year-old said of the confusion over testing. Its contributing greatly to the sense of fear.
As cases of Covid-19 have exploded across the U.S., state and local governments are taking on the task of testing for the coronavirus that causes itand they have been quickly overwhelmed. Slowed by equipment shortages and struggling to keep pace, officials have set up a chaotic patchwork of testing sites, with access varying wildly from one place to another. Now some states and counties are pulling back, using their limited resources to test only the most vulnerable.

I knew there was one I forgot, and that's it. Thanks.
Yeah, and also "at the end of the day," although that seems to be more a "thing" in Canadia.
this story is silly because if one is sick , one knows it, and getting a positive test does not mean you get a free admission to the hospital....you get to go home and feel sorry for yourselves...
Israel is so far ahead of the stupid FDA. They approved several drugs for multiple treatments. They have over 500 cases and ZERO deaths.
Colloidal Silver: Antibiotic of the Future
The Antibiotic of the Future
Antibiotic-resistant germs are now considered epidemic in the United States, accounting for a growing number of serious infectious disorders. While most antibiotics disinfect about a half dozen or so germs, silver has been reported to disinfect hundreds. Most importantly, unlike conventional antibiotics, germs cannot build a resistance to the action of silver. A properly prepared colloid of silver is a special liquid preparation of this trace mineral that is extremely safe to use, even with children and pets, without many of the negative side effects of prescription antibiotics.

I just went back and read my post to you. My take on the presser which I did watch was wrong. In fact the “off label” prescription is only as a last resort as you said.
I apologize for my boorish post.
I was listening to a medical call-in show today and a snowflake called in and said he had heard that global warmming is making people come down with a fever and causes them to test positive for covid 19. What was more nonsensical was the doctor responding that global warming was a serious problem and takes away from our ability to deal with covid-19.
Why the obsession with being tested? We are becoming a nation of big babies with no common sense. If you start to get a fever, you can stay home without being told, and, if Corona symptoms develop, you can call public health about any of your contacts. Only during the Trump Presidency is all this testing being demanded. Nor is testing required to determine whether to administer a specialty drug for a cure — because there is presently no such drug— only recuperation.
It’s PART of the Cloward-Piven Strategy.

It does not happen in a vacuum...................
just a hysterical, hyperphobic, hyperchondric, health hoax.......remember when hysteria was a woman’s disease? Thank the feminazis
How many people do you think unnecessarily went for testing??
..........
Since one cannot get tested without an Rx from a physician, I would say none.
*********?**
Most doctors don’t want to get sued, so they are not going to say, “No, I’m not going to prescribe a test for you.” They’ll hand-out prescriptions for tests like they overprescribed antibiotics, without worrying about whether the prescriptions can be filled.
Accepted.
Common sense instead of fear of being wrong or hidebound.
Funny, I never hear of places like Israel making huge mistakes and causing lots of problems by being practical in things like this.
And who runs (er ruins) Colorado?
“Hey Jake. It’s Colorado. Forget it!”
