Diarrhea also can be a symptom that one has eaten at Taco Bell.
in the movie “Zombieland” the outbreak was caused by a gas station hamburger.
Then CNN should get checked immediately.
When you’re climbing up a ladder,
and you feel something splatter...
Diarrhea

When your chillin’ with your daughter,
and you feel the poopoo water...

When you’re walkin down the hall,
and you feel something fall.

When you’re riding in a Chevvy
and you feel something heavy.
“So, people being stressed out and binge eating junk food wouldnt be a possible cause of diarrhea?”
First I have heard of this.
Good post.
What if the diarrhea is actually a positive reponse by the host immune system to shed the invader?
New Study Suggests Digestive Issues Can Be First Sign of COVID-19
If they aren’t going to create the chaos, who will?
No humor in this tragic crisis, but I might question if the study was financed by the American Board of Toilet Paper Producers.
Yep, this is not a new symptom
I had a very bad bout of influenza back in the early 2000s. Woke up that morning not feeling sick but unusually tired as if I hadnt slept but I had, in fact I had gone to bed a bit early the night before. Got to work and couldnt get warm, felt chilled all over. My boss walked by my desk at around 8AM and asked me if I was OK because I looked so pale.
Within an hour I was sneezing and my throat started feeling sore and scratchy. An hour later, around 10AM I became nauseous and ran to the bathroom and threw up several times and now started feeling achy. Told my boss I was going home to which he said, yes, please do. I dont remember much of the drive home but when I got home, I threw up again and then the diarrhea started. And now my throat was on fire and I was coughing a lot and ached so bad that it felt like even my skin and hair hurt. Took my temperature and it was 102. By the time my husband got home from work it was 103 and my chest hurt from coughing, an unproductive deep chest cough. He wanted to take me to the ER but I told him I could fight it off, probably should have but I felt so crappy the idea of sitting in an ER waiting room for hours was more than I wanted to endure.
I spent the next 4 days on the couch on the recliner. On the couch because I felt too weak to go up and down the stairs, plus I had a TV and a kitchen and a bathroom close by, not that I was eating but going through lots of ice water and ginger ale, plus I was in and out of sleep and tossing and turning because of the body aches so didnt want to keep my husband up or give it to him if I could avoid it.
On day 5 I finally got a shower and got dressed and went to the grocery store with my husband but had to lean on the grocery cart because I was still so weak. I went back to work 2 days later but it took another week before I felt anywhere near better.
Thats influenza and while it is unusual for adults to have gastrointestinal issues (it is more common in children) its not unheard of. While COVID-19 is not an influenza virus, I can believe that some people might have those symptoms.
