Gasoline hits 99 cents at Kentucky station, sells out
Fox News ^ | March 19, 2020 | Gary Gastelu

GasBuddy analyst Patrick De Haan was tipped off by users of the GasBuddy app that the Spur 7 BP in on state route 25 in London had dropped below a buck.

Don't head there looking for a deal right now, though, because an employee at the station told Fox News Autos that the price was already 99 cents on Wednesday and that they're currently sold out of fuel and didn't know when the pumps would be open again. Commenters on Gas Buddy say the station is known for its low prices and is often very busy.

It’s worth the extra money to avoid the crowds.

Saw a gas station in Palm Beach had $2.03 and a long line, a few blocks up $2.07 and no line.

People are crazy.

I bought gas in Indiana yesterday for 1.66 for 87 octane E10.
But based on the wholesale price, it should be about 1.30

Yes they are. Given the number of times they will start and stop the car while in line, assuming they don’t leave the car running, will negate the $0.04 per gallon savings. Doesn’t include the wear and tear on the vehicle starting and stopping.

I certainly don’t mind a station making a little extra profit these days. Especially with gas that cheap.

It’s so stupid. They wait an hour to save 50 cents to a dollar Total in some cases. Is their time that worthless?

I’m keeping our vehicles filled. Last week I paid $1.89.9 and Saturday $1.85.9. Yesterday, I topped my truck off at $1.79.9 and on the way home I saw a station with gas at $1.75.9. That’s cheaper than bottled water.

Still about $1.83 on MS Gulf Coast - I expect it to drop 20 cents or so over next few days. Paid $2.16 for Premium last week.

At least they only charge out of staters regular price on all those tolls, not double like Indiana/Kentucky on the Louisville bridge.
