German coach Joachim Loew says coronavirus shows that Earth is defending itself from a ‘do everything’ culture

The coach of the German national men's soccer team is having deep thoughts about the coronavirus pandemic.

“The last few days have me very thoughtful,” Joachim Loew said Wednesday via a remote link press conference. “The world has experienced a collective burnout. Not just individuals but everyone.”

Loew, who led the German team to World Cup victory in 2014, made the comments a day after the 2020 Euros were postponed until next year due to the virus.

“I have the feeling the Earth seems to be defending itself a bit against people who always think that they can do everything and know everything.” Joachim Loew, head coach of Germany, opens up about the coronavirus and what is means for the world as a whole. The national team boss had no issue with the decision to call off upcoming friendly games and postpone the European-wide championship tournament.

“People’s health and their security has to be the top priority,” he said.

It’s a truth of history that you can count on some crazy Kraut to come up with the most half-assed, wrongheaded take imaginable.

Another German continues the German philosophical evils. Hegel. Nietszche. Schopenauer. Kant. And now Loew. Philosophers of doom and gloom.

Immanuel Kant was a real pissant
Who was very rarely stable

Heidegger, Heidegger was a boozy beggar
Who could think you under the table

David Hume could out-consume
Wilhelm Freidrich Hegel

And Wittgenstein was a beery swine
Who was just as schloshed as Schlegel

There’s nothing Nietzsche couldn’t teach ya
‘bout the raising of the wrist
Socrates, himself, was permanently pissed

John Stuart Mill, of his own free will
On half a pint of shandy was particularly ill

Plato, they say, could stick it away
Half a crate of whiskey every day

Aristotle, Aristotle was a bugger for the bottle
And Hobbes was fond of his dram

And Rene Descartes was a drunken fart
“I drink, therefore I am.”

Joachim Loew, head coach of Germany

The famous nosepicker. Say a prayer for the guy. His habit could end up killing him.

“... the Earth seems to be defending itself ...”

The round ball we call earth has nothing to do with this. Put the blame squarely on the communist CHINESE who were experimenting with bio weapons research. The germ got out of their labs prematurely. It was heading our way eventually regardless, since they see the west as the enemy.

China virus, China virus, China virus.

This is the equivalent of ministers claiming that 9/11 was God’s punishment for homosexuality.

But we had to defend the Earth from the Germans.
Twice.

Once all the Germans were warlike and mean,
But that couldn’t happen again.
We taught them a lesson in 1918
And they’ve hardly bothered us since then.

Left out the credit to Tom Lehrer for that.
