This Coronavirus is clearly a startling wake up to the whole world and how materially dependent we are on China. The speak by multiple countries, particularly the US, of uncoupling from China is a warning to the communist nation of what they will soon be suffering. Of course they are going to lie, they know their economic well-being is about to take a major blow.
You mean all the economically devastated towns in the Midwest, rust belt and the south caused by offshoring, gloBULLism and unforced de-industrialization wasn't enough to awaken them?

China knows it’s responsible and financially liable for this catastrophe. This will cause long term damage to their manufacturing, economy and society. The world will demand reparations, while diversifying their supply chain outside China. Fewer poor farm kids will work in their factories. Massive over-capacity in their sweat shop factories (not the shiny clean Apple / BMW factories).
The only question is how Communist China will respond...
