I saw an article somewhere the other day. Gloom/doom merchant who said that even if you have a "good supply" of toilet paper and paper towels etc. on hand, you probably don't have enough and
YOU WILL BE SORRY.
Guy just threw out the "fact" that "the average" American uses a roll of toilet paper a day (two people/two rolls, etc.) and most people don't have a sufficient supply on hand.
That average seems a little high to me.

Completely debunked. It is closer to a "roll" every two weeks.
The idea came from a dubious "study" which looked at the total amount of paper produced, and an absurdly low weight for a toilet paper roll.

Unless you have a GI problem (the runs), maybe a roll per week, under normal circumstances. The China Wuhan Flu Virus is a respiratory problem, not a GI problem.

Not for normal people but you should survey California. This whole building trend with say 3 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms is ridiculous. More toilets than asses in the house, they must be doing something weird out there. Too much Mexican food, cant be further than 9 feet from a toilet? Inviting other families over for squatting parties?

I never thought the day would come that I would estimate the amount of TP that I use.

Sheryl Crow's still on her single roll since 2007.
